After doing a peel test on fiberglass on a scrap of the laminate, I was a little worried that the alignment blocks (which were glued to the glassed surface of the bottom of the cradle) might eventually peel off from the tension of the mounting bolts.  To reinforce this potentially weak area, I used a leather punch to pop out 4 plugs in the rubber cushion and countersunk wood screws through the laminate into the alignment blocks.
