The Second layer of laminations I made from some leftover redwood cove & bead strips.  (Later when shaping, I found that the cove & bead was not the greatest choice.  When feathered edge of the lamination turned out uneven)

I didn't cover the entire surface of the blades. Instead, using the plan illustrations as a guide, I estimated the shape of the blade that would fall inside the lamination and made it only as large as necessary.
